Outerwear is the hardest category to get right and the strongest test of a factory. We build softshell, hardshell, puffer and varsity constructions with taped seams, storm flaps, articulated sleeves and quality hardware — and we pattern for layering rather than scaling a tee block upward.
Worth knowing
A jacket pattern has to allow for what goes under it. We ask what your customer wears beneath the shell before we cut the first sample.

Puffer & Down Jackets
Baffle or quilted; synthetic or down fillBaffle and quilted constructions with synthetic or down fill, specified by fill weight and baffle pattern rather than by a vague warmth claim. Ultrasonic quilting is available where a stitch-free face is wanted.

Rain & Hardshell Jackets
Taped seams, storm hoodFully taped-seam rain shells with a storm hood and a waterproof-coated face fabric. We test the taping on the sample rather than trusting the supplier claim, because a failed tape line is invisible until it rains.

Varsity & Letterman Jackets
Wool body with leather or PU sleevesMelton wool body with leather or PU sleeves, rib collar, cuff and hem, and chain-stitched lettering. This is the most labour-intensive garment we build and the one with the widest quality gap between suppliers.

Bomber Jackets
Rib collar, cuff and hemClassic bomber silhouette with rib collar, cuff and hem. The rib is the component that determines whether the jacket holds its shape over time, so we specify rib composition and weight rather than accepting stock trim.

Parkas & Long Coats
Insulated, fur-trim hood optionLonger insulated outerwear for genuinely cold markets, with a two-way front zip so the wearer can sit down without fighting the hem. Hood trim is detachable where the market or the price point calls for it.

Fabric & Trim Sourcing
We source and lab-dip to your colour reference, then send physical swatches for approval before any bulk fabric is committed.
Pattern & Sampling
First pattern, fit sample, and as many revisions as the fit needs — typically 10 to 15 days to a sample in your hands. Nothing moves to bulk until you sign off a sealed sample.
